The name Codiac is derived from six (6) attributes that he posses, C is for confident, O is for observant, D is for determine, the I is for intelligent, A is for ambition and the C is for Creative. He was born and raised in the volatile area of Dunn Kirk. He started deejaying at age fourteen, in 2004. He came up with some simple rhymes which he then turned into songs.\\nCodiac wants to record and release music because of the simple fact that he has a passion and a genuine love for music. His demographic audiences are young adults between the ages of 17-25. Codiac songs are mainly about reality, things that happens in the society and yes he does write his own songs. His musical influences include: Busy Signal, Buju Banton, Vybz Kartel and Bob Marley.. Codiac’s music can be very moody. It can make you feel happy but it also makes you stop and think about what is going on in society. His music conveys an awareness of the state of our society and can put you in a happy state of mind. Codiac’s short term goals are to be one of the hottest artistes on the local scene with a few awards to show and a few chart toppers. His long term goals are to a substance career, to be everybody’s dj and to have a few Grammy awards and also to have an international career. Codiac define being successful in the music industry as being the hottest artiste on the scene, having a few number ones every now and again and having a huge catalogue of good songs. His live performances to date include school barbecues, family fun day and children treats.
